TapeScan Terms of Use

Effective June 12, 2026.

The service

TapeScan is an iOS app for AR measuring, room scanning, and floor-plan export, published by Faisal Nur Arif. By using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your license to the app itself.

Measurements are estimates

AR measurements depend on device sensors, lighting, and surface conditions. Typical accuracy is ±1–2 cm at room scale on LiDAR devices and ±2–5 cm in visual mode, and can be worse in poor conditions. Always verify with a physical tape measure before cutting materials, placing orders, or making structural, legal, or financial decisions. TapeScan is not a substitute for a professional survey, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of in-app measurements or exports.

Subscriptions & purchases

TapeScan Pro is available as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription (each with a 7-day free trial) or a one-time lifetime unlock, billed through your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel anytime in your device's Settings. Prices are shown in the app before any purchase. Everything you create remains viewable and re-openable even if a subscription lapses — you only lose access to new exports and sync.

Optional accounts

Accounts exist solely for backup & sync and are never required. You are responsible for the accuracy of the email you register. You can delete your account and all synced data at any time from inside the app.

Acceptable use

Don't use TapeScan to violate others' privacy or property rights, attempt to disrupt the sync service, or reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law permits.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this URL with its effective date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
